Q&A

When is your acne 'bad' enough to see a dermatologist?

Yoram Harth, MD

Hi, Sierra. This depends on your acne severity. If your acne is severe you need to visit a Dermatologist ASAP to consider prescription oral medicine.

If your acne is milder you can improve significantly with acne prevention methods and over the counter medicine. People who commit to the plan and track their skin have a good chance to clear their skin. If there is no significant improvement in 6-8weeks you should advise with a dermatologist.🙂
