I was prescribed oral antibiotics and supposed to take two pills twice a day for two months, but I took one pill twice a day for four months...does that affect my results?

In general, one should stick to exact dose suggested by the physician. To be effective, and destroy the acne bacteria, the antibiotic should reach a certain level in your skin. If the dose is too low the treatment will not be effective at all. Saying that it was found that certain anti-acne antibiotics (minocycline, doxycycline) are effective even in low doses, due their anti-inflammatory effects.
