Some initial dryness and mild redness are a normal part of every effective acne treatment! "Acne” creams that do not have ANY type effect (bit of redness, mild peeling, tingling) are usually worthless. The most effective anti-acne medications are the ones that contain benzoyl peroxide. The second best contain salicylic acid. Benzoyl peroxide on the top of the list of topical creams suggested by the American Academy of Dermatology acne treatment guidelines. If you have significant redness or dryness in your first days with your new treatment kit, use your anti-acne cream every other day. Continue using your acne cleanser morning and evening and your moisturizer every morning, to further dilute the anti-acne cream, you can apply some of your moisturizer on your anti-acne cream at night. Your skin will usually get used to your night creams in 10 days. Once your skin gets used to the treatment cream switch back to every night.
