Does the micro-needle hurt? And what does it do for scaring?

Hi, Logan. The only microneedle treatment that helps with scarring is called microneedle radiofrequency = microneedle RF. This treatment uses very thin needles that are inserted into the skin, heat the lower layer of the skin and trigger the production of new collagen. This new collagen fills up the scars. Treatment with good microneedle RF systems is involved with minimal pain. All is needed is pre-numbing of the treated skin area with a topical anesthetic cream (Emla of similar). For the best results and minimal pain look for treatment with systems that have a smooth motion needle insertion (Endymed Pro). 🙂
