Juul makes a product that delivers a lot of nicotine, and it goes down easy. A single JuulPod is about 5 percent nicotine — which is roughly as much nicotine as is in a pack of cigarettes, according to the company. There are different views on the realtion of nicotine and acne. One Italian study found higher rates and higher severity of acne in smokers. The same results found in a study of 17,345 Chinese adolescents. A third study that followed 27,083 young men over 20 years found that smokers had actually lower rates of severe acne than non-smokers. A fourth study, on 594 teenagers found a lower prevalence of acne in female’s smokers but not in boys that smoked. Although the evidence for the relationship of acne, nicotine and smoking Jull is conflicting, it is absolutely clear that smoking Juul is not good for our health and should be avoided.
