Q&A

Can I use any serums and if so, when do I apply them in my nightly routine?

serum for acne treatment

There is no evidence that serums (of any kind) have a beneficial effect for the prevention or treatment of acne. Having said that, some serums contain ingredients that can be a good addition to anti-acne active ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. The MDacne products do contain natural, plant-based ingredients found often found in these serums (ex. Vitamin C) that have anti-inflammatory effects (reduce redness), help lighten pigmentation, even skin tone and boost the skin's natural healing.
